Confederate Soldiers Buried on Mockbee Farm

On the Mockbee Farm, which would now be located at 76th and Holmes Streets, were buried Confederate soldiers who were killed in that neighborhood during the Civil War. The bodies were moved to the Bryam Ford Confederate Cemetery of Jackson County, which was located at what would now be the southeast corner of 71st Street and Troost Avenue, and still later they were moved into Forest Hill Cemetery.
