Little Shoal Cemetery

Spring, 1998

Little Shoal is a small, historic cemetery near Liberty, Missouri. It is the burial place of many Kansas City and Clay County pioneers, who migrated from Kentucky and Tennessee. In 1997, the county ran out of funds to keep the cemetery mowed, and the grass grew pretty high.

We are organizing a group of people who want to keep the cemetery looking nice and preserve its history. Lots of people have already expressed an interest in helping.
