Hare Cemetery

The data on all the cemeteries in Van Buren Township, with the exception of Koger and Adams, was compiled and copied by Mrs. Hale Houts, assisted by her son, Oliver Lee Houts.
This is reputed to have been a cemetery of fair size, but no burials have been made here since the Civil War. A recently constructed road runs through the cemetery. The only markers at graves were those of the Hare family. These were removed to Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Cass County, Missouri.
