This was a family cemetery, upon the farm of James Bridges, who came to Jackson County, Missouri,
in 1832 from Claiborne County, Tennessee. There are here buried 4 sons, 2 daughters,
2 daughters-in-law and several grand children of James Bridges, as well as members of the Harris
family and neighboring families of Ragland, Mahurin, Riley and others. Information relative to the
families supplied by Mrs. A. J. Randall, of Independence, Missouri.)
