Goode Cemetery

This Cemetery is not listed in the Four Rivers Genealogy Society's cemetery book for St Johns Township

Goode Cemetery - located in St. Johns Township. From Washington, go east three miles and turn north on St. Johns Road. Go about 1,000 feet to the entrance of the First United Methodist Church on the west side of the road. The cemetery is located on the hill at the north side of the church entrance. This cemetery appears to contain about 26 graves, but only three grave markers have been found thus far. They are for Mary A. E. Goode, wife of John J. Goode, died July 16, 1859, age 33 years, 3 months, and 5 days; Sarah F. Allegre, daughter of Wm. T. & F. Allegre, died March 15, 1863, age 32 or 22 (break in stone), 10 months, 12 days; and (part of stone missing) In memory of my beloved husband John J. Goode, died August 16, 1865, age (missing info), 23 days. For more current information on this cemetery, contact Paul Annable.
