CURETON, SARAH ISABELL Mar. 2, 1882 - Nov. 12, 1886. Died of scarlet fever.
CURETON, JAMES ARTHUR May 1, 1884 - Nov. 13, 1886. Died of scarlet fever. One child died just before midnight, the other just after. Children of David Cureton & Mary Angeline Clift (daughter of James & D. D. Clift who came to Missouri about 1847 from Tennessee.
David & Mary Angeline were married on Jul. 12, 1866 in Dent County. Mr. Cureton was postmaster & store keeper at Red Point, Mo., later moving to California. He is buried in California; Mary is buried at Ironton, Missouri. Their eldest child Matilda Jane, also died infancy, is buried at Maple Grove Cemetery near Viburnum. Other children of David & Mary Angeline were: Annie (m. Radius Hughes, to Edge Hill), Fred (operated store Bixby, later moved to Ironton), Phillip H. (m. Ollie Josephine Mason, 1894, Dent Co. at J. D. Cottrells by T. D. Hughes, had store at Bunker, later moved to Poplar Bluff), Francis E. (m. Ida Stuart, lived at Boss & Salem, was early Salem florist, both buried at Cedar Grove Cemetery), Elizabeth 'Lizzie' (m W. H. Webb, moved to Ironton), Luther W. & Henry (both died in Arizona.)
