COLE COUNTY DEMOCRAT, Thursday, February 04, 1892
The sad intelligence reached this place Monday evening that Mr. John Murray, a well known and much respected citizen of this place, died in a Saint Louis Hospital. Mr. Murray has been a conductor on the pusher at this point for a number of years, and his death is a shock to us all. He leaves a wife and three little daughters, who in their sad bereavement have the sympathy of a host of warm friends. His remains were brought to this place and laid to rest.
