Hartsburg Man Dies At
Home
D.S. Carter, 67, Is Survived by Widow and Two Children
D.S. Carter, 67 years old,
prominent farmer of near Hartsburg, died yesterday morning at 9 o'clock at his
home. Death was due to complications resulting from a light attack of
tuberculosis. Mr. Carter is survived by the widow, Mrs. Nellie Carter, and two
children, a son W.C. Carter of Marion and a daughter Mrs. Z.S. Bowden of this
community. Five step-children also survive. Funeral arrangements have been made.
Services will be from the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church tomorrow afternoon at 2
o'clock. Rev. Alexander will be in charge of the services. Burial will be at Mt.
Pleasant Cemetery. Mr. Carter was an old resident of this community. He had
lived here for many years and was one of the best known farmers of this
community.
