Cortez Waters, Former
City Resident Dies
Owensville, Aug. 30 (Special)
Funeral services will be held at
2 p.m. [CST] Saturday for Cortez Waters, 51. He died at his home in St. Louis
Thursday. Mr. Waters was born in Jefferson City Jan. 21, 1905, the son of
John
and Frances Waters. He is survived by his wife, the former Miss Drucie Pew, of
the home; two son's, Cortez Waters Jr. and Leroy Waters, of Kansas City; three
step children; his mother of Jefferson City; and a brother,
Virgil Waters of
Owensville. Burial will be in Owensville City Cemetery.
Note: His mother's maiden name was McFadden.
