This
is the farm where Antonia Nelineck Novak Lenaker and James Paul Lenaker
lived. My
Grand Aunt has recalled some of her visits to the farm. "One summer
afternoon I came from Chicago IL to the Henley House. The road was most
amazing, we had to drive through the spring to get to the house, then a
gate. You could see the house with a barn beside it. The barn was
bigger than the house, it was also newer looking with hay on top.
The house had two rooms living area was down stairs Kitchen with large
cast iron stove and a long home made table. I remember that Great Grandpa
would sleep on a log that was cut in half. When walking I use to pick up
arrow head and there was an natural springs. It was so cold that they
enclosed it. They would keep Hams, Pork sausage, etc. At home
Grandma would never let me out at night she said there were wolves. They
had large dogs and kept the pigs close to the house." |
