Welton Family Graveyard

Located: SW1/4 of SE1/4, Section 9, Twp. 52, Range 30

The Welton family were Clay county, Missouri, pioneers.
In coming from Virginia or Kentucky they first settled in
Howard county, Mo., in the fall of 1829.
In the spring of 1830 the family moved farther west and
settled in Clay county, in what is now Fishing river township.

Name: Lurah Anna Titus Welton
Birth Date: 09 Feb 1857
Death Date: 09 Feb 1880
Comment: wife of Arthur Eugene Welton;
She was a daughter of Squire C. Titus and buried
in the Titus homestead in Clay county, Mo.
Thirty years later the body was exhumed and
interred in Crown Hill cemetery. Excelsior Springs, Mo.
Her husband was buried in Woodland.
