East of Warsaw, Benton County, Mo.
East of Warsaw, Mo on Highway MM, nearly to the end. It was in the middle of an area that was surrounded by houses. It was neatly kept, but the local Warsaw Funeral Home told us that it hadn't been used in many years. It was looked at, but not completely copied, by Eddene (Hightower) Thompson and her mother, Eunice (Swift) Hightower on July 2, 1986.
* This indicates explanatory information by Eddene Thompson from personal research etc.

One very large stone with four sides: One side said: Children of G. W. & Mary Martin One side said: Walter L., born July 26, 1871, died October 25, 1884 One side said: Emmit, born January 31, 1883, died June 28, 1887 One said said: Two precious children from us have gone, Their voices we loved are forever stilled. A place is vacant in our home Which never more can be filled. But Jesus claimed our treasures and why should we thus mourn? Since they have joined the mansion though from earth friends are torn. |
