At one time the landing on the ILL side was called Giles Ferry. It was later sold to a Elizah Willard. John had a son that was born in MO by the name of Josiah, but as of yet have not been able to find any census on any of the above,

Thomas E. died 10/27/1855 in Washington County, Ashley, Illinois.
