SURNAMES: "GIBBS", WADDLE, BOWLIN OR BOLIN, VANDERGRIFF OR VANDIVER
QRYTEXT: I am researching Mary Ellen GIBBS WADDLE from her birth 12-23-1861 Bollinger Co. up until her marriage to James Monroe WADDLE on 02-06-1979 at Cape Girardeau Mo (I have her marriage record), at which time she moved to Jame's home in AR and passed away in 1949 in Randolph Co. AR Her father was H.V. GIBBS and her mother was an Indian we believe by the last name of BOWLIN OR BOLIN? Her parents died around mid 1860's and she was then raised by Indians (some have said this was her mother's family and some have said she was possibly raised by a Nancy?(Granny or Nannie) Vandergriff or Vandiver) Her son stated she was raised around Dutchtown,Jackson and Cape Girardeau. Her father was suppose to have been killed in the Civil War. I am looking for ANY information that would help to identify her parents and locate their trails. As far as we know this H.V. Gibbs was white. His wife? was Indian. My grt. grandmother Mary Ellen GIBBS was 1/2 Indian and an orphan, do not know what type of Indian. I have more Information on MOBOLLIN post. Please email with any information. Think she had siblings but to date no names. I have posted that she was a twin however she is not a twin, her husband James WADDLE was a twin and his twin brother lived at Cape Girardeau. James was up there working and met Mary Ellen GIBBS and married her at Cape and brought her to Arkansas. Email: [email protected] Thank-You for anything. Candice WADDLE

QRYTEXT: Abner Cox was supposedly born in 1808 MO. William Cox, James Cox and other Coxes were in Cape Girardeau County prior to 1830 & possibly later. Some of the Coxes in my line were born in VA in the late 1700s, went to east Tennessee, then came to Cape Girardeau MO, before eventually moving on to southwestern Arkansas (Hempstead & Ouachita Counties). One or two Coxes are said to have left Hempstead County AR when the Civil War broke out and returned to MO (or KY) to fight for the Union, although the AR Coxes fought for the South. Looking for additional info on these Coxes! I have lots on the AR Coxes plus photos to share. and returned

NAME: Darrell Dewayne Robertson
EMAIL: [email protected]
SURNAMES: ROBERTSON, ALLBRIGHT, ALBRIGHT, HAWN, BIFFELL, MERRITT,
QRYTEXT: I am most interested in finding out about the Robertson family history. It seems that my ggrandfather William Jasper Robertson was born in Tennessee in about 1854. His parents I do not know. He grew up and married Emma Victoria Cameron in about 1878 or so. We think this date because his first child was born in 1879, by the name of Edward Otto Robertson. They lived in a little settlement just north of Oak Ridge, MO. It seems that William Jasper Robertson's family was from Eastern Tennessee, specifically the county of COCKE. It also seems that the Camerons were from eastern TN or KY also.
