I am researching the following families in Butler county Missouri ; Scaggs/Skaggs, Dunn, carlew/Corlew, and misenheimer/Micenhammer. My greatgrandfather was Warren "War" Esler Dunn he married Adeline "Addie" Carlew in Poplar Bluff Missouri. I am trying to find Warrens and Adelines parents, I am told Warrens parents were James Earl Dunn and Jane Micenhammer ( I haven't proven this yet). I am also told Adelines parents are Thomas Carlew and Helen Gloria ( I haven't proven this yet). Warrens cousin or aunt was Mary Dunn , she married William Scaggs/Skaggs in 1830 Hardenman county Tennessee. They were in St. francis county Arkansas in 1840 and 1850. In 1860 they are in Butler county. I have lost them after this. Some of their children were still in Butler county Missouri in later years and also in Clay county Arkansas. Any help would be welcomed.

My Great grandfather, Joseph Schott married to mary Anna Ponder lived in Poplar Bluff 1880-1882 where he died and was buried at the age of 44. We have heard he was a blacksmith in Polpar Bluff. He was buried there but we have not been able to determine which cemetary he is buried in as there was not a tombstone place on his grave. The family was catholic. I would like to know how to go about finding cemetary plots without a marker.

Searching for the maiden name of my gg
grandmother, Anna (Mrs. Franklin Shipman).  She married Franklin Shipman
around 1830 (+ or - as she was born abt 1808 in TN) All I know is that
her name was Anna.  Franklin Shipman, the groom was born 1806 also in TN.
They were some of the first inhabitants of Butler Co.  She had son Daniel
born there in Butler Co. on Oct 28, 1832 and is reported to be the first
'white' child born in that Co. If you could search any old marriage
records for her maiden name I would be grateful.  I descend from her son
John M. Hillis and his son Charles Franklin Hillis.  Many of my Hillis

I am searching for any information on the parents of Daniel Smith b. 1845 in Decatur TN. He was a Union soldier in the Tennessee Calvary and he joined in Paducah KY. He married Sarah Hutson/Hudson about 1769 but I have not been able to find out where, though his pension states that they lived in Massac IL before moving to the Harviell area. Sarah may have been the Sarah C. Smith who was a popular midwife in that area in the late 1800s. They had a son James and daughters Amanda and Sarah.
