I am trying to help a cousin locate info on her father who lived in Butler Co. His name was Thaddeus[Thaddis] OWEN[S]from Neelyville. They are also cousins of mine, she never knew her father and I just now found her and am trying to get info. We know he died in 1985 in Colorado I believe. Mrs. J. W. Presson attended her fathers funeral in 1912. He was Jefferson G. Page. He died in Little Rock, Arkansas. Mrs. Presson was living in Poplar Bluff, Butler, Missouri in 1912. I am seeking information on Larkin PAYNE, married to Melissa?.� He died in 1933 and is buried in the Dudley Cemtary with Melissa who die in 1941.� I spoke with Mr. Orr who is the caretaker and he confirmed the grave sites.� Unfourtunately the funeral home he had listed (Whites) is no longer in business and the current ones do not have the old records.� I do know that he had a son Alfred Eugene PAYNE, born 3/29/1889, d. 09/24/1970.� Married to Ruby Elllen MORGAN( It appears they then moved to Fisk, in Butler Co).� They had sons Charley Eugene PAYNE, b.07/21/1921 d.05/24/1981 also died in Dexter and is buried in the Dudley Cemetary; Walter H. PAYNE, b.10/16/1916, who mrried in MO and the moved to Mich.(my husband's g-gf), and Alvah (unknown male or female), and John, d. 1924. ��� This is all the information I have or have been able to gather.� I am hoping some one can help, particularly with Larkin and Melissa.�

I am looking for the cemetery that my grandmother was buried in.� Her name was Emma POUNDS.� The cemetery is supposed to be in Neeleyville.� At one time, someone said it was named Nelson Cemetery.� Last evening, my cousin said the cemetery was in Neeleyville which is in BUTLER COUNTY and I was wondering if someone may know of this cemetery and or if the cemeteries would have information on the people who are buried there.� I think my grandparents may have lived in Corning AR which is in Clay County.� My grandmother died February 10, 1925.� I have hit a brick wall on this one and would very much like to find a crack so that I can knock the wall down.� She did not have a headstone (another reason for finding her so that we may put one up.) I have been told that there was a big tree by her gravesite and that the tree had been taken down.� Is there someone out there who might possibly know if this cemetery exists.� I did go to the cemetery listing on Butler County site and found a! I have a copy of the marriage certificate of my paternal gg grandmother (Angline(nee?)Emery) and her second marriage to a E. G. Pruit. They were married April 5, 1880 in Butler Co. MO at the A. G. School House in Butler Co by Rev. B. J. Burchett of the Baptist Ch. Does anyone know of this school? Where was it? And what do the initials A. G. stand for? Thanks!

My GGreat Grandmother was Holly Evaline Puntch, b. 8-12-1853 in Butler Co. Her Father was William H. Puntch, b. abt 1816 and Mother was Luvina Megea/Magea/McGee b. abt 1829. They both died in a fever epidemic abt. 1862. The only info I have regarding Luvina's family was that her Father's name was Hugh. This was recorded in Holly Evaline's Bible. The 1860 Butler Co. MO census shows this family. William, Luvina and family lived on the St. Francis river near Duncan Court.
