MALONE/HUNTER I've been looking for many years for the families of the several MALONE children of James and Christiana (HUNTER) Malone who were married in Madison county KY October 17, 1805. Shortly afterward they moved to Gibson county IN where their children were born. The children were: John, Thomas J., James, Elizabeth A., Permelia, Absolom, Alexander, and Elijah. I've recently learned that at least some of these children and their children moved to Butler county MO and that some of the them may be buried in the Lone Hill Cemetery, Butler county. Any help in identifying any of the descendants of James and Christiana (HUNTER) MALONE will be most helpful If you should be a descendant I have at least a part of your ancestry back to Switzerland in the mid 1600's and will be only too happy to exchange. Bill Hunter

I am trying to locate copies of some Butler County Court Records for 1895 regarding the name COLEMAN and/or MAYBERRY/MABERRY. I have a couple of Current Wave Newspaper articles dated April and May 1895, stating that MAYBERRY and COLEMAN were arrested, but their first names are not given. MAYBERRY and COLEMAN lived in cARTER County, Missouri as far as I know. I don't know why both/either of them would have been tried in Butler County, Missouri unless the crime was committed in that county, or perhaps a change of venue for the trial was requested and granted. The newspaper article dated May 11, 1895 states that COLEMAN (no first name given) was being tried in Poplar Bluff, Butler Co., MO. There is no mention of MAYBERRY in this article, and I don't know if he was tried in that county on another date. The online information for the records that the Circuit Clerk's Office of Butler Co., MO. has is that they have records, 1849-1887. Can anyone tell me where I can locate Butler County Court Records for 1895-1896? The MO. State Archives does not list any records for Butler Co., MO., or at least none that I have found. Many thanks for any assistance.
