Homer Lee ILANT was born in Butler County, Missouri on October 13, 1912.� His father was James Harvey ILANT, his mother Alice BASS.� He was the youngest child; others were Hester, Cecil (female), Ethel, Herschel Raleigh.� James H. ILANT died and Alice BASS remarried, to Ed MCQUAID.� The ILANT name was frequently spelled ISLAND, and I know there were aunts and cousins in Missouri.� I recall someone whose first name was Powhatan.� Any information at all would be very welcome.��
