Butler County BRYANT I am seeking information about William Penn Bryant. I have a possible William Penn Bryant born 11 Dec 1847 died 25 Feb 1908 married 21 June 1868 to Emily A (Catherine) Manlay born 1851. One child was born to this union, Ida Bryant born 1869. No known death dates to Emily or Ida. What I know of William Penn Bryant...married Elmina T (Tobiatha or Tabitha) Saypaw. Had Margaret Alice Bryant Jan 26, 1884 and she had a brother George. Margaret's delayed birth certificate lists Fredericktown, MO for birth, but obituary lists Lamar Co, AL and living child thinks she was born in TN. Margaret married Thaddeus Eli Campbell in early 1900's and remarried after the death of Thaddeus. She remarried Jefferson Reeves Forrest of Qulin, MO. They both resided there and this is where Margaret raised their 10 children. Margaret is buried in Elder Cemetery along side of Thaddeus Eli Campbell. Please if you have any links to this family, I would appreciate any pieces to the puzzle. Email me at [email protected].

I am researching my Cannon family history. My maternal family is traced, so far, to Missouri and Arkansas. My grandfather, Noel William Cannon was born Mar 13, 1911 in Manson, Randolph county AR, My grandmother, Lola Richardson Cannon was born Dec 27, 1912 in Corning, Clay county AR. They were married in September 1934. The only other info I have is the names of my grandfather's parents, Ira Thomas Cannon and Minnie May Traw. My gr-grandfather was an orphan at the age 11-13 when his parents "disappeared". He was raised by a preacher and his wife. He then married Minnie May Traw who was widowed and had 2 daughters. They both had, I believe, 5 more children: Noel William, Cecil Lloyd, John, Irene (or Iris), and another daughter. All are deceased. My grandparents, Noel and Lola, had 6 children: Charles, Edith (Lavon), Margaret, Howard, Ken, and Glen. They were active in the Church of Christ. All children were born in Arkansas and Missouri. They later moved to Rockford, IL where they all graduated from high school. If anyone has information on Ira T. Cannon or Minnie May Traw, please let me know.
