Elizabeth Ellen Woolsey Fossett was one of eight children of Frank W. Woolsey and Nancy Poynter. She was born Sept. 27, 1872 in Kentucky and died of injuries sustained from a buggy accident on Sept. 22, 1924 in Lawrence County Missouri. On Feb. 24, 1897, she married George Elmore Fossett in Lawrence County Missouri. They had eight children. In the accident, her horse became frighten, and was thrown from the buggy; she lived for about a week after the accident according to the newspaper. Grandma Lizzy and Grandpa lived near Zion and is buried in the Spanish Fort Cemetery.
