Research Note Isaac Louis and Sarah Elizabeth (Gammill) Neill are pictured. He was a son of Peter A. and Susan (Runyon) Neill.
Born: Oct. 6, 1844, Hamilton Co., TN
Died: Jan. 16, 1925, Buck Prairie Twp., Marionville, Lawrence Co., MO

Louis and Sarah married in Lawrence Co., MO on Feb. 13, 1868.

Sarah was a daughter of Charles Newton and Nancy Polly (Mallard) Gammill.
Born: Nov. 5, 1851, Lawrence Co., MO
Died: Dec. 2, 1940 on the Neill farm in Marionville, Lawrence Co., MO

Isaac moved to Barry County with his parents in the fall of 1853, and was listed on the 1860 census of Crane Creek, Barry Co. He was living with his mother who had re-married to Dr. Francis LeMaster after the death of her first husband. The census-taker incorrectly transcribed the names of the Neill children, assigning them the surname of their LeMaster step-father. As far as it is known none of the children took the LeMaster surname.

Both of Louis' parents and many of his siblings are buried in Barry County in Osa Cemetery.

After the Civil War was over, Isaac L. Neill moved to Lawrence Co., MO, where he farmed for the remainder of his life.
The first photo was taken at the Neill farm, Buck Prairie Twp., Marionville, Lawrence Co., MO, and was probably taken sometime around 1895 to 1900. The second one might have been taken sometime around 1910.
