I believe this picture to be H.C. "Oscar" Cornman, although it is not written on it. We always knew him as "Red" and Mildred (Tunnell), his wife as "Halfpint"

Obit For H. C. "Oscar" Cornman

H. C. "Oscar" Cornman, 79, of Aurora, died at 3:50 a.m. June 4 at Aurora Nursing Center following a long illness.

Mr. Cornman was born May 28, 1920, in Barry County, and was a lifelong area resident. He was a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church, an Army veteran of the Korean conflict, a retired tower man for the Conservation Department, a member of the Jenkins Volunteer Fire District, Rocking R Saddle club, and Jenkins School Board. He also served on the cemetery committees for Leann and Clio cemeteries.

He married Mildred Tunnell on December 23, 1939, in Galena.

Services were 10:30 a.m. today, June 7, at Crafton-Cantrell Chapel in Aurora. Burial was in Clio Cemetery under the direction of Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home of Aurora.

Memorials may be made to the Jenkins Volunteer Fire Department.
