| Research Note | The photographs on this page are of Wesley Sartin Terry (1883-1954), lifelong resident of Barry Co., Missouri.
He was the son of John King Terry, and grandson of Francis Martin Terry, who came into Barry Co., abt. 1860 and lived there until his death in 1890. Martin, as he was known, founded a large Terry family spread throughout Barry Co. This Terry line has been traced back to the mid 1700's in Botetourt Co., VA and to County Westmeath, Ireland.
Wesley md Edna Maggie Boyd (1888-1970), (whose family roots go back to the 1700's in County Down, Ireland and the early 1800's in Hesse-Cassell, Germany.) in 1906 in Barry Co., Missouri. Edna's sister Sena Boyd md. Charles R. Priest of Barry Co., MO, and sister Myrtle Boyd married Robert S. Terry, brother of Wesley. |
