| Text | Mrs. Martha Doty, wife of Davis Doty, of near Jenkins, died Saturday, March 12, (Sat Mar 11 1922) at the home of her son, Harrison, at Monett, at the age of 62 years. Funeral services, conducted by Rev. J. T. Brattin, were held at Leann, Sunday afternoon, March 12. A short service was held at the home, before the body was taken to Leann. A large crowd of friends attended the funeral. She had lived most of her life near Jenkins. She had for many years been a practicing physician and had ministered to numerous families in that community who will cherish her memory. Besides her husband she leaves four sons; John of Berryville, Harrison of Monett; Elder Volie Doty of Oklahoma and Warren of Jenkins; also three daughters; Mrs Prude Cares and Mrs Martha Truhitte of near Jenkins and Miss Goldie at home. Martha Truhitte is grandma's mother. |
