"One of the largest sales of railroad land on record, was consummated yesterday, the deal being for 150,000 acres. The purchasers were Sidney, Bouge & Co., of Chicago, for the Missouri Land Company, of Edinburgh, Scotland, and the seller was Land Commissioner Coffin, in behalf of his railroad company, the St. Louis and San Francisco. The land is located in Barry Co., Mo., the northeastern portion of which is traversed by the main line of the St. Louis and San Francisco. The price paid and other particulars could not be learned yesterday."
