Mary Ann Fly and R. W. Patton (her father) entered into a bond in the amount of three hundred dollars. The bond was a result of Mary Ann being appointed Administrator of the estate of J.D. Fly. Filed March 7, 1866 before Elias Horine, Probate Judge of Barry County, Missouri.

Jonathon Dalton Fly married Mary Ann Patton, May 14, 1858. He fought for the Confederacy and was wounded in a Battle of Pleasant Hill, Louisiana on April 9, 1864. He died on April 29, 1864 as a result of those wounds. Place of death and location of his remains are unknown.
