| This picture is of the 1910 class of Ozark School near Purdy, MO. The girl with the X is my aunt Amy Balmas Bowen who was born Jan 1904. She married Benton Bowen and has one child who died as a baby buried in Waldensian Cemetery near Monett. the third boy to her left is William (Bill) Balmas who married Nellie Mare Horine daughter of Dennis Horine and Mintie Goodnight. My Uncle Bill was Born in 1903. The three sons of this union Franklin, Eugene, and Jack are all buried in Waldensian. If you look from My aunt Amy's left shoulder left and up to the right My Aunt Laura Balmas Leonard can be seen she was born March 1900 and is buried at Waldensian, as well as her son Billie Charles Leonard. My Aunt Amy Balmas Bowen is identified as well as my Uncle Charles Manford Balmas who was born Nov. 1905. If you look middle right third row up you will find an X on the image of my aunt Henrietta Balmas Leonard. You might note that she and my Aunt Laura Balmas Leonard married brothers. Aunt Laura is located 3 places to Henrietta's left marked with and X. Just in front of Laura is William (Bill) Balmas. |

Ralph said, "There were two Ozark Schools, my photos are from the Ozark School #18 (from Back to Barry) just north and east of Purdy, the other is located further east and near Leanne. This is the Ozark School located just outside the city of Purdy. Near my grandfather's farm in east Purdy." |
