| Research Note | The 1906 one is a photo from my gr-grandmother Jenny Joslin's photo album. Comparing the entrance doorway in this photo to the photo of the Cassville Class of 1908 on the Barry Co website - I can see that they are the same. George & Jenny Joslin moved to Cassville in June 1905 and their oldest son DeVere graduated from the Cassville school in 1906. So I would place this photo as circa 1906 (or c. 1917 when their younger son Vern graduated). Donna Cooper's Note: In the book "The First 150 Years in Cassville" Emory Melton listed on page 32 a pencil drawing of the older building given here. He says it was built in 1886. On the next page he has a photo of a 1905 class in front of the 1886 building. |
