ELSIE STEWART OBITUARY - KITTSON COUNTY ENTERPRISE

Elsie Stewart, 56, Lancaster, died at the Karlstad Memorial Nursing Center, Karlstad, May 2, 1995. She was born in Vida, Manitoba, Nov. 29, 1938, the daughter of Jacob and Pauline (Lubkey) Kiryluk. Elsie left Vida in 1954 and moved to Hallock. She graduated from Hallock High School in 1958. On Nov. 18, 1961, she married Donald Stewart in Hallock. They lived in Hallock until 1968 when they moved to Lancaster. Elsie worked at Motor Coach Industries, Pembina, from 1983 until 1988. Elsie was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Hallock.

Family survivors include her husband, Donand; a daughter, Donna Stewart, Circle Pines; two sons, Roy and Kristy Stewart, Lancaster and James Stewart, Maple Groves; a son-in-law, Murray Turner, Red Lake Falls; four grandchildren; four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Ollie Cawson, Winnipeg; Ann and Mike Lysak, Winnipeg; Mary Torrell, Minneapolis and Sylvia and Duane Herman, Maple Grove.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Patricia Turner in 1991.

Funeral services were held May 5, 1995, Grace Lutheran Church, Hallock, Rev. Kenneth Losch, presiding. Special music was provided by Julie Fossell, Sue Johnson, Daniel Streed and Julie Nordin. Pall bearers were Tom Carlson, Jim Strege, Myron Peterson, Roger Weberg, Ronald Hanson and Harvey Strege.
