Capt. de La Corne (1666-1762) is at Mackinaw, New France (Michigan), and his son Lt. Louis Lue de La Corne (b-1713) is with St. Pierre at Lake George.

John McIntosh departed Scotland on his own about this time, and settled in Albany, New York. He would later become a Loyalist near St. Andrews in Glengarry County of Upper Canada. He raised a family of seven girls and two boys. One son, Donald McIntosh, born 1773, joined the North West Company about 1790; married an Indian; became a partner about 1810, and retired in 1838. Writing from Fort William he says, regarding country woman, that she is of average height but very slender. Donald sent his Metis children, including John, to the east for education. One of his sisters is named Christy McIntoch.

Marie Athanase Hamelin, Saulteuse, born 1725, baptised, July 11, 1745, Michilimackinac, New France (Michigan), and recorded as the slave mistress of Charles Hamelin (1714-1760) also LaGueniere or LaGuenier, an ancient voyager, who lives at Sault Ste Marie, New France (Michigan/Ontario ). She took the name Marie Athanase according to the desire of her deceased mistress. It would appear that this woman is the second wife of Charles and the slave of his dead wife Marie Athanase Sauteux, who was also a slave.

The English fleet scoured the seas, capturing French merchants with trade goods. Trading passports are offered free due to a trade good shortage.
This season, De Lusignan visited the Dakotas Territory, to hunt and gather up the Coureurs des Bois, and take them from the country. Many began to join him until they learned they would be arrested at Mackinaw, New France (Michigan), for violation of law. The Dakota made peace with the La Pointe Ojibwa at the instance of De Lusignan- or so he claims. Four chiefs of the Dakotas are invited to visit Montreal, Quebec, in 1746. This bypassing strategy infuriated the Metis and other Coureurs des Bois.
The Hudson Bay Company reported that French Traders from Montreal, Quebec, were on the Saskatchewan River, North West Territories, intercepting the Hudson Bay Company trade. This is according to reports from the Cree and Assiniboine.

Mouus is listed as the father of Catherine Sauteux, who took the name of first wife Athanase 1st who's father was not listed. It was a common practice to take a sister as a second wife but this family, however, is very strange. Charles married Athanase 2nd. There is a 3rd marriage in Montreal, Quebec, to a girl born 1742, with claim Athanase is dead. But in 1757 Marie Athanase says that Charles is dead as she applies for marriage in Quebec.

Joseph La France estimated the Indians traded 130,000 beaver and 9,000 marten to York Factory, (Manitoba). Ellis, however, wrote he estimates York trade is 40-50,000 furs.
Jacques LeGardeur St. Pierre (1701-1755) arrived Mackinaw, New France (Michigan), with 100 canoe supplies. He would assume command of Mackinaw, New France (Michigan), in 1747. His brother Louis LeGardeur, Chevalier de Repentigny as second officer. Following Mackinaw, New France (Michigan), he is posted 1750 to the Winnipeg Region Fort La Reine (Portage LaPrairie), (Manitoba) and in 1753 to Erie Country. He is also involved in the Second Sioux Company until 1749.

Paul Louis Dazemard (d'Azemar), sieur de Lousignan (Lusignan) born 1691, and died after 1746, commander at Green Bay, New France (Wisconsin), visited the Dakota Territory, attempting to arrest the French deserting Voyagers who fled into the west upon hearing the news at Michilimackinac, New France (Michigan), that the French were again at war. He is unsuccessful, but returns to Montreal, Quebec with four Dakota Chiefs for council. He also ordered the Coureurs des Bois to return to New France. He planned to have them arrested in Missilimackinac, New France (Michigan), so they abandoned him, but he returned with 4 Dakota Chiefs and established a peace treaty between the Ojibwa of Lapointe and the Ojibwa of the lakes and plains in the Dakota Territory.
As a result of the De Lusignan's attempt to arrest the Coureurs des Bois, the voyagers of Sault Ste Marie, New France (Michigan/Ontario) and other points of Lake Superior, Ojibwa Country, are robbed of their goods and maltreated. Even the commandant at Mackinaw, New France (Michigan), is exposed to insolence, and there is no security anywhere. (I)-Charles de Beauharnois de La Boische (1671-1749, Governor New France (1726-1747) dispatched Saint Pierre to the scene of disorder, expecting an easy settlement due to his reputation. He captured three men, sending them back to Montreal, Quebec, under armed guard. The savages, Indians, Metis and Coureurs des Bois were so cross that they stopped all trade with the French. Saint Pierre reports that the savages escaped, having killed their guards- some seven or eight soldiers. The Green Bay lease, New France (Wisconsin), expired and no one would bid for its trade privilege. The Commandant allowed two private traders access for 1,000 francs each. The French again intercepted Hudson Bay trade by building a settlement one hundred and fifty miles above Henley House on the Albany River (Ontario).
