A server outage in mid-February prompted this Fillmore County site to move to a new permanent home. Several other county and state sites that are part of The USGenWeb project also moved, and others are in the process of moving to new servers.
Today, March 14, 2016, is the first time I have had access to this site to make changes to let you know the Fillmore MNGenWeb site has moved.

Fillmore County

	My name is Marge Utley and I am your volunteer coordinator for Fillmore County. I hope you will visit Fillmore Co MNGenWeb at its new location here and that you will find something to help you with your family research. Feel free to post a query to the Fillmore County Message Board or Fillmore Co MN mailing list or contact the Fillmore County History Center. Good luck! Due to the server failure at Rootsweb, the maiing list is currently unavailable. Rootsweb is hoping to have things restored by March 15, 2016. The message board appears to be operational at this time.
The MNGenWeb and The USGenWeb Projects In March and April, 1996, a group of genealogists organized the Kentucky Comprehensive Genealogy Database. The idea was to provide a single entry point for all counties in Kentucky, where collected databases would be stored. In addition, the databases would be indexed and cross-linked, so that even if an individual were found in more than one county, they could be located in the index. This led to the USGenWeb of which Minnesota is a part. It is the USGenWeb policy to provide FREE information to help everyone with their research. If you have public domain documents that would help other researchers, please submit them to me or the MNGenWeb Archives Coordinator. These archives depend fully on volunteers to transcribe items and donate files. Contributions by folks like you make this project grow. Due to storage space restrictions we cannot accept family gedcoms at this time. Some types of records we can accept: anything in the public domain, anything published before 1921 and items published after 1921 with the author's written permission.
