I am searching for my ggg-grandfather's grave.  His name was Hugh COCHRAN and he died in 1869 while the family was living in Racine Twp of Mower Co., but very near the Dodge co. and Olmstead Co., lines.  So I am thinking there is a possibility he may be buried in Dodge Co.  If anyone has the names and email addresses of the caretakers of cemeteries in the Southeast corner of Dodge co., I would write them. Thanks Jim Cochrane  [email protected]

I am looking for anything on my Great Grandfather Charles R Foster. Born in 1852. Married to Alice A Bullock around 1911. Since my grandfather (Clarence J Foster was born in 1886 in Dodge county, they must have lived around there. I wanted to know if he was a farmer or anything. I have tried to look at sites on the internet but found nothing.

I am conducting a genealogical study of my Norwegian ancestors who settled somewhere in Dodge County in June of 1867. I think they settled and farmed around the Mantorville area, but then moved to Chippewa County, Minnesota in1870.

My ancestors' names were Kittil and Kjersti SIVERHUS. The last name could have been spelled Ougundson, Augonson, or Augondson. The citizenshp papers, when they arrived in Milwaukee, show the name SIVERHUS, so I am assuming that is what the family went by when living in Dodge County.

Kittil was born in 1812 in Bo, Telemark, Norway. When the family moved to Chippewa County in 1870, all of their children moved with them, with the exception of one daughter Ingeborg Siverhus. I'm assuming she got married during those three years the family lived in Dodge County. If she did get married, it would be great to know who she married and at what church. Ingeborg was born about 1850.

I sure would like to visit the farmstead and church they attended. But have no clue where to begin, except maybe around Mantorville.

Thank you very much, Mike Siverhus  [email protected]

I am looking for information on the following person, who is my great-great grandmother. I have been unable to locate any information on her family, such as parents, siblings, etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Name: Augusta HOFFMAN

Born: 7-9-1863; Germany

Died: 1-6-1949; Aberdeen, Brown Co., SD

Married To: Maurice Baudoin; 3-27-1896; Dodge Center, Dodge Co.,MN

Immigrated: 1888

Children (partial): Arthur; Genevieve Baudoin (my grandmother-born Dec. 1899 in Dodge Center); Conrad; Josephine and Maurice Jr. who were both born in SD.

Maurice Baudoin filled out Citizenship Declaration in 1892. Final papers in 1897-both in Dodge County.

Believe they moved to SD between 1902 and 1904, as on census child born about 1902 was born in MN, and the child born about 1904 born in SD.

Also believe Millie (or Milly) Hoffman was Augusta's sister. Have no other information about her family.

Any information on her family would be GREATLY appreciated as I have hit a brick wall finding anything on her or her family in Dodge Co., MN.

Thanks  Jim Walton  [email protected]

The three boys all made their way to Erwin, Kingsbury County, South Dakota. The daughters all married and many are buried in the Maple Grove Cemetery (Section C ) next to or near their mother Kari.

If you have any information or are also a descendant of this family, I would love to hear from you.

I am searching for my ancestors whom I know lived in Wasioja, Dodge Center, DODGE COUNTY.  My Grandfather Lloyd Albert BROOKS was born there in 1885.  I believe his parents' names were Hulda BROOKS, and I don't know the father's first name, but the last name was obviously Brooks.  Hulda's parents I think were William and Elizabeth KRAMER born around 1840 in Germany and moved to the United States (I think directly to Dodge) in about 1860.  I think William and Elizabeth were married in about 1870.  They also had a daughter named Elvana born in February 1884.  Hulda was born in June of 1881.  In addition to Lloyd, there were three sisters, one of whom was named Olive.  I don't know the other two names.

Lloyd married my grandmother, Millie Mae FRANKLIN, who also lived in Wasioja, I believe.  Millie was born about 1888.  Millie's parents were John Delos FRANKLIN and Maggie CASTLE.  They had about 11 children, some of whose names were Blanche, Lois, Ellsworth, Viola, Lois, Emmy, Dallas, Sadie.   I think Maggie Castle's mother was Lovina GREENE.

I am interested in ANY information (birthdates, birth certificates, marriage certificates, addresses where they lived, where they are buried, any other brothers, sisters, newspaper articles, cemetery information, death certificates, court papers, anything at all) concerning these people.

Please let me know what other information might be helpful (I think I've given you most of what I have) and what cost would be associated with finding this data.  Thank you so much for your kind attention to my request.

Sincerely, Karen Lindblom [email protected]

I recently obtained the 1952 obituary of my great-great-grandmother Leota Levina (Roberts) Sanford. In it, I learned that she was born in Kasson, Minnesota on December 16, 1870 to Henry and Clara Roberts. Also, she was survived by two brothers, Gene and John Roberts of Ft. Worth, Texas and a sister, Bertha Kirby of Olympia, Washington.

Does anyone have any information about Henry and Clara Roberts who lived in Kasson in 1870? The obituary also mentions that the family lived in Texas during Leota's youth, and she married in 1887 in Wichita, Kansas. So, I'm not sure how long they were in Dodge County.

If someone has access to the 1870 census, I would really appreciate a lookup for Henry or Clara. Actually, I would be interested in ANY Roberts families who were in Kasson area in this timeframe.

Thanks, Walker Pierce [email protected]

Am looking for the exact death date and an obituary of Estella Ramsay Forbes who died in 1941.

I'm pretty sure she died in West Concord, Dodge Co., Minnesota as the family had lived there, her husband died there in 1924 and several children, including Thelma Forbes Pirkl and Jean Forbes Swanson continued to live there and died fairly recently.

Looking for information about John MUSOLF (born 1825-1830).  Immigrated to Dodge County in 1881 from Germany with his wife, Henriette, and several children.  They later moved to Pequot Lakes area of Minnesota and Rice Lake area of Wisconsin.  I can't seem to make a connection between "my" MUSOLFS and other MUSOLF families in Minnesota.  I don't know what John's middle name (or even initial) was, nor do I know Henriette's maiden name or middle name.  I've seen other John Musolf's (on message boards, etc.) but none of them seem to fit with the information I have.  Any information about him or Henriette would incredibly helpful. Thank you and please contact me at [email protected],
