We, and each of us, being blood relatives of the Ottawas and Chippewas, and legal and proper claimants under the fund reserved by the 6th Article of the treaty of March 28th 1836, hereby acknowledge to have received from Henry R. Schoolcraft Indian Agent at Mackinac and acting Superintendent of Indian Affairs for Michigan, the respective sum appointed to our names in coin.
