The RAX fast food chain flourished in the early1980s, with several stores in the Kalamazoo area.  The photo depicts the downtown location, which was built on the site once occupied by Art Post AMC/Rambler and currently occupied by Up and Under.  The chain “flamed out” before the decade ended, and closed all its stores in Michigan.
