Meetings are open to the public.
Research for a fee
Society will do or arrange for any genealogical research to be done in Iosco
County, MI. Society will do limited research; fee is $6.00 per hour plus expenses.
If you have a larger research job which our volunteers can not accomplish, the society will recommend a genealogical researcher who we feel is qualified to do the research. In this situation you and the researcher will make your own arrangements.
To get started, send a list of the research you want done and a $15.00 check made out to the Huron Shore Genealogical Society.You will get a written report with an itemized statement, and any money not used will be returned.
Copies Made
Copies of articles or prints from glass negatives can be made. Our material
is scattered across the county in several locations, and the following prices
includes the time involved, pro-rated transportation cost, and
postage. Prices shown below is for the first copy of each item requested. Duplicate
copies made at the same time: paper items are $0.50 each, and duplicate prints
from a glass negative are $5.00 each.
