Now is such an awkward time to ask Bud for any such items.
Would anyone in your organization know if any of her work

Thanks to Donna Walt Nightingale and Liana Trombley for
helping me find my gg-grandmother Edesse DROUILLARD in
Monroe Co MI, and her ancestors.
Now I'm looking for parents of a NELSON/NARCISSUS DROUILLARD, born
1817 in MI. He is found in the 1850
census of LaSalle, Monroe Co MI, with a wife ELIZA [CHAUVIN,
dau of Joseph CHAUVIN], and a son John, age one.
We haven't been able to find his baptism or marriage before
1850 in Monroe County, and I began to hope we might find
him in Downriver ANCESTOR CHARTS.
He died in Bayfield WI in 1873, and is probably buried there.
Does anyone have him on a list!?

Earliest Known Ancestor
William Howell
They were from
Mighigan, Wayne Co. Area
Born about
1800
Comments:

This is a very nice website. I am glad that it was recommended to me.
My William Howell and wife Cynthia Sherman of Michigan, had a son James aka
Norman Howell.
Norman was born about 1831 in Michigan. In 1859 he married Mary Beneteau at
Assumption in Sandwich, Ontario.
He is found on the 1860 census for Wayne Co., Ecorse Township with his wife.
Their children were baptised and buried at Assumption until the late 1860's. Then
the family disappears from church records and census information on both sides
of the border.
His wife Mary died at Assumption Sandwich, age 80 in 1815.
Her obit claims that she has lived in Assumption Parish most of her life! Her son
Frank and grandson Walter C. Howell are the only people listed in the obit.
James (Norman) is nowhere to be found from about 1865 onward nor can I find
information on William Howell and Cynthia Sherman.
Sorry for being long-winded. I am just hoping to match ancestors with another
Howell researcher.

They were from

Born about
1847
Comments:

Merrill Griffin moved from upstate NY with his wife, Mary, and children,
Evaline, Una, Mary and Merrill Jr to a 20 acres farm about one mile south of
Dearborn. He added quinine powder to a container which he though contained
quinine powder and used this to doctor his family. Years passed and the quinine
powder was used up. Around 1889 the quinine powder was all gone and when he
thought he was giving quinine powder he was actually giving a mixture of
strychnine and sulpha. One daughter, Mary, died as a result and he was not
expected to live. He served in the Civil War and applied for a pension in May of
1889 as an invalid. His widow applied for the pension in Aug. of 1890. I am
looking for his death date, which should be between those two dates. Thank you.

Blue Jacket
They were from
Ohio (Northwest Territory) (Ohio Valley) (Scioto Valley Shawnee Villages)
Born about
1742
Comments:

Blue Jacket is said to have lived and was buried in what is now Wyandotte (on
the Biddle tract). Your list of 26,000 names in your publications has a Bluejacket,
Mary ancchart103. I am interested in locating that chart. Mary may have been a
daughter of Blue Jacket, the last principal War Chief of the Shawnee Tribe and
Clearwater Baby. That Mary was married to Jacqes Lacelle or Laselle, on
March 29, 1801 in Detriut and died there on June 17, 1806. Mary may have had
an earlier Indian marriage as there was a daughter of hers listed as Mary Ann
(Nanette) Lacelle who was born in September, 1791.

I am a seventh generation descendent of Blue Jacket, My greatgrandmother was
Emma Bluejacket, her father was Henry Bluejacket and Henry's father was
George Bluejacket who was the son of Chief Blue Jacket. Henry may have been
born in Blue Jacket's Town which was at or near present day Trenton MI north
ov Brownstown.

Is it possible that you have members in the Downriver Society that are also Blue
Jacket descendents?
