Call to Town Meeting

1855 To Josiah Morrill of Vienna in the County of Kennebec - Greeting

You are hereby required in the name of the State of Maine to summon and notify the inhabitants of said Vienna qualified to vote in town affairs to assemble at the dwelling house of Nathaniel Graves in said town on Wednesday the fifth day of September next at ten of the clock in the forenoon to act up the following Articles.

1st To choose a Moderator to govern the meeting

2nd To see if the Town will accept of a Town House to be presented to the Town as a donation by Joseph M. Whittier Esq of Boston Mafs

Fail not and make due return of this warrant with your doings thereon, dated at said Vienna this twenty ninth day of August the year one thousand eight hundred fifty five.

Pursuant to the within warrant to me directed I have notified and warned the inhabitants of
Vienna to meet at the time and place within named by posting up an attested coppy of this warrant at R. M. Mansurs Store in said Town being a publick and conspicuous place seven days before the time and place of Said meeting.
