This cemetery is on land given by Capt. Benjamin Bailey for his descendants and their families. This cemetery is private, family-owned and maintained and is located on Route 1 on the left going towards Wiscasset, just past the Woolwich-Wiscasset Baptist Church on Saunders Road (a small, dirt road) on the left at the end of a tarred road. The first burial was Turner Bailey, grandson of Capt. Benjamin and his wife Mary. The following data is a typescript of the Bailey Family Cemetery, transcribed, updated 2005, and submitted by Hope Grover Coulombe (7th g-granddaughter of Capt. Benjamin Bailey). Thank you, Hope.
