Some Arrowsic/Georgetown Cemeteries |
The following data was submitted by Harold E. Brown of Bath, ME and appeared in Downeast Ancestry, Volume 3, No. 2, Aug 1979, p 28. There are a number of burial places on Arrowsic and Georgetown Islands where there are only one to three identifiable burials. Most of these are difficult to find, being deep in the woods and much overgrown. Most of the burials are not listed in Mary Pelham Hill's Georgetown Vital Records. Some have a number of burials marked only with fieldstones." Harold also called them "obscure cemeteries in Arrowsic and Georgetown;" however, he has added helpful notes to this data.
