Maine Old Cemetery records circa 1957 about this small family cemetery on private property show that "in 1929 this was known as Woodside Farm and before that as the Benjamin Chase Farm and the Elizabeth Campbell Farm.
This cemetery is west of Bunganuc Creek about one mile on the south side of the road to Freeport in a grove of trees near the shore."
It has a total of 11 headstones. The cemetery has been in use since at least 1786. The last burial was in 1998. |
