Maine Biographies CC Guidelines
Maine Biographies Project
County Coordinator Guidelines

If you are interested in coordinating a county page for Maine Biographies, these are the requirements:

Links to the following must be on every County site:

Maine Biographies Project
https://sites.rootsweb.com/~mebiog/index.html

US Biographies Project
http://members.tripod.com/~debmurray/usbios/usbiog.html

Maine Biographies Data Entry Guidelines
https://sites.rootsweb.com/~mebiog/HowToSubmit.html

State Coordinator's E-mail
Peggy [email protected]

You must maintain a Volunteer list and a list of all the books being used.

The Maine logo must be posted somewhere on the first page of your site, along with the US Biographies logo.

The first paragraph on the state site explaining the history of the US Biographies Project must be displayed somewhere on the county site.

You must subscribe to the Maine Biographies mailing list when it becomes available.

Every Saturday the names of all biographies posted during that week must be posted to the Maine Biographies mailing list by each county coordinator. There may be times when someone who does not have internet access requests a copy of a particular bio. This is the main reason why this was set up, please oblige them.

Roll call on the last day of the month. Just to let us know how things are going, and any problems or concerns you may have!

For information on how to post biographies see Submitting Biographies for more information.

Other than the requirements listed above, this is your site to do with as you please!

One note:
All biographies posted to any county site will be copied and archived by Maine Biographies. This is needed to insure that all biographies will be freely available to everyone for a very long time! :-)
