You Can Help!

The Worcester MDGenWeb is made possible through the contributions of researchers like you who contribute information to be included on these web pages.  One of the beauties of using the Internet as an aid to genealogical research is that it makes our hobby a team effort.  The discoveries you make today may help another researcher tomorrow.

One of the easiest ways you can help is to visit the query section.  Do a search on the surnames that you are currently researching.  Not only can you find information to help yourself, you may also discover that you hold the key to helping another person find a long elusive ancestors.  Sharing your information -- it'll make you feel great to help another person connect with their roots.

The Worcester County Cemetery Project is an effort to transcribe the county's cemetery records.  In Worcester County, where many records were lost in the Snow Hill fire of 1893, cemeteries play a pivotal role in establishing birth and dates.  If you would like to transcribe a cemetery (or even part of a cemetery), please e-mail me.

The Worcester Families Project is an arena for sharing Worcester family trees and family histories.  If you would like to contribute to this project please e-mail me.  Also, if you have your own web site about a Worcester family and would like a link to it, please e-mail me as well.

I also encourage you to visit and contribute to the USGenWeb's special projects.

And as always, please feel free to let me know about any ideas or suggestions you have for making this web site better.  Happy roots hunting!
