I'm looking for any information regarding ancestry of Dames Quarter resident Alice WHITE, listed in the 1900 U.S. census as age 43, head of household, with 7 children. I'm particularly interested in the name of her husband (presumed deceased by 1900 census), Alice's maiden name, her marriage records, and any birth/death records.

I have record of a William LEAKEY in a 1587 will of Jefferie SHERCOMBE, willing him 10 shillings in Kedsburie within the parish of Wembdon in the county of Somerset, Maryland. Also A William LEAKEY born before 1717 and died about 1762, married April 24, 1724 in Stepney Parish, Somerset County, Maryland. Does anyone have information on either of these two men?

Brothers Anthony BELL (wife Maira Snowberger)and Peter BELL probably immigrated together from Hesse and/or Weisbaden Germany to Somerset circa 1760, then bought land in Leitersberg, Washington, MD in 1767. Their father, Anthony BELL, and his brother Thomas BELL may also have emigrated at the same time. I am looking for any documentation connecting any of them to Somerset, however briefly.

Looking for information about my MUSTARD ancestors from Scotland, who migrated to America sometime in the 1600s to mid-1700s, probably to the SC, MD, VA, DE, NJ, PA area. They ended up in the Lewes DE area and later moved to Milton DE. My earliest MUSTARD is John MUSTARD, born about 1715 and died before 13 Aug 1759 - 16 Feb 1760 in Sussex DE. His father may have been a Robert MUSTARD. John MUSTARD (ca 1715-1760) married Jean or Jane Rankin who died ca 1760-1773. They had a son David MUSTARD born about 1735 and died in 1773. David MUSTARD married Elizabeth Hopkins. Their son was John MUSTARD, who was born about 1770 and died 13 Feb, 1826 in Sussex, DE.

Looking for information on Ephrain and Mary REESE, listed in the 1850 Census for Somerset County, MD, and information on William T. (b 1870 - d 1930) and wife Annie M. REESE (b 1876 - d 1963). William and Annie are buried in All Saints Monie Cemetery in Venton.

I am looking for information on John RENCHER, b. 14 Apr 1801, d. 31 Jan 1841. He was married to Elizabeth HARRIS 15 Jun 1826. They lived in the Tyaskin area of western Wicomico County, MD. I am looking for a possible link between John and the RENCHERs/RENSHAWs of Mt. Vernon, Somerset County, MD. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Does anyone know what the name of John BOUNDS Sr's plantation at Tipquian was? I've seen reference to several tracts of land that he owned, but no indication of where his actual residence was. Looking for Afro-Americans who descend from Anthony JOHNSON, who was originally from VA, settled in Somerset Co., MD, and lived on a 300-acre farm called Tonie's Vineyard in 1665. Searching for birthplace of George Goddard, born about 1650, married Judith GOODIN 14 July 1679 in Somerset, Maryland. His descendants, John GODDARD, Francis Lane GODDARD and William GODDARD (wife Elizabeth KELLUM) are all of importance to me. If you have any info, please respond. Somerset County judicial records list George GODDARD as a plantiff in the 1693 to 1694 court records. Could this George Goddard be the same one who donated land in Allen, Wicomico County, MD for the Green Hill church named Goddard's Chapel?

Aristarchus WOOD appears on the tax list of Somerset Co., MD about 1764. I would like to find his parents. His father may have been Thomas WOOD or WOODS. He moved to Montgomery Co. and entered into the American Revolution from there. Moved to Greene Co., GA ca.1784 where he died in 1794. Any help on his parents would be appreciated.

Searching for Henry WHITE, who was a private under Caption Caleb Jones with the Maryland Loyalists. He was born around 1758, place unknown, and came to Canada in 1783.

I need information on Nehemiah MEZICK, who was listed as 56 years of age in the 1850 census. He was listed with a Jeremiah (age 47), who I am presuming is a brother, Lloyd (21) and Nancy Harris (25), Milky Mezick (23), James Mezick (22), Mary Mezick (20), Neamiah Mezick (15), Ellen Mezick (13), Robert Mezick (10), and Aaron Mezick (7). If anyone knows of his parentage or spouse I would be extremely grateful.
