Upton Museum

The museum is staffed and maintained by volunteers. If you would like to volunteer to be at the museum during open hours, develop new displays or document new material donations call the museum or send an email to [email protected]
Donations of material with historic relevance to Upton are accepted from the public. The donor is given credit for the donation in our records.

A general summary of the collection at the museum includes records of: Upton government and departments, civic and social organizations, churches, cemeteries, businesses, events in Upton's past, vital statistics of all Massachusetts towns thru 1850, Upton's hat, boot and shoe industries including the Knowlton & Sons hat company. The material consists of documents, pamphlets, journals, books, photographs, genealogies, tools, clothing and textiles, awards, ribbons, medals, scrapbooks compiled by many residents over the years and deeds.

Admission is free but donations to support the museum and Society may be made at the museum, or by sending a check made out to the Upton Historical Society to P.O.Box 171 Upton MA 01568 or via https://www.PayPal.com/paypalme/uptonhistorical.
