1174. William LUCAS was born in 1654. He died in 1717 in Surry County, Va. His will is dated 1 October 1716 and proved 18 December 1717.

1175. Grace BECKWITH died in 1720. Her will was dated 22 December 1719 and probated 17 Feb. 1719/20. Among other bequests the major part of her estate was to be divided between son William and daus. Ann, Grace, Hannah, and "Elizabeth if she recovers of the present fitt of Sickness she Laboreth under, but if she does not recover then Henry Briggs to have no part of my estate."
Children were:

i. WILLIAM LUCAS. Mar: Martha ____?, and moved to Brunswick County, where his will was dated 25 Feb. 1739 and probated 5 March 1740. It mentions his son, Johm and the latter's two eldest daughters, sons, William, Charles, Samuel and Daniel, grandson William Lucas. And wife, Martha; Moses Johnson and John Irby, trustees.

v. MARY LUCAS.
vi. CHARLES LUCAS. Mar: Mary, daughter of Benjamin Evans of Prince George Co. (Prince George D. & W. 1713-28, pp. 787.) Mary Lucas died in Isle of Wight Co in 1734, her will leaving her property to her sons, William and John.
