288. Charles SLEDGE was born about 1650, and lived in Surry County, Va.. ⁽⁶⁴⁾ Charles lived along the James River, Surry Co. Va. His will was dated, 3 Nov 1725, and probated 16 Feb. 1726/27. He names his son-in-law John Ellison"75 acres on Pigeon Swamp where he dwells, for life, at his decease, to my grand-daughter Judy Ellison. 100 acres. To son John, in Surry, bounded by Samuel Chappel's and Col. William Randolph's To daughter Rebecca Ivey, 1 cow, daughter Martha Sledge 1 cow. Bk 7 p623

289. Mary CLARKE. Her will is dated 8 Jan 1726/27,and probated 17 July 1728. (Bk 7 p826). It names son John Sledge, daughter Rebecca Ivey, gr-daughter Judith Ellison when 21, daughter Martha Hay, Son-in-law Peter Hay exec., Wits: Edward Prince, Elizabeth Prince, and Thomas Hay.
