Watson was born on 28 Jul 1867 in Bienville Parish, La..(2)
He died on 10 Jan 1960 in Ringgold, LA..
(10) He was a farmer most of his life. He was buried at the Ridge Cem. in Castor, La.
1910 Census of Bienville Parish, Ward 5 shows Wat, Loula, and the children at home at that time. Jessie May 3; Elizabeth 11/12; Omie 13; Dovie 11; and Weltmer 6.
The 1920 census of Bienville Parish list Watson and Lula with children, Jessie 13; Elizabeth 10, Bill 8; George 5; and Mary Lou 11/12. Wat was listed as a "Manager Restaurant".
After Wat and Lular divorced, he lived with his different children, and other relatives. He lived with Henry Collinsworth for quite a long time. Wat was crazy about Henry. Henry was half brother to Mary Lou's husband, Roy Stevenson. At one time, Wat, and Roy and Henry's mother, Evie Irean Rowell Stevenson Collinsworth, were living with Henry. Evie in her little house that Henry had built for her, and Wat living in the downstairs area of Henry's house. When he needed anything,
he would bang on the celing with the broom handle, Henry would go down and see what he needed. Wat lived with Mary Lou and Roy several times when they lived in Arkansas. I can remember as a child sitting in front of the heater at Grandpa Wat's feet, in his room, and us talking. He was an older man when I was small. I always remember him as being very old, and never remember him without his walking cane. All of Wat's children were very crazy about their father. I remember visiting with him one time when he lived by his brother's house in Castor, La.
He lived in a tent across the road. It had a wooden floor, and wall half way up, with a wood burning stove. All I can remember was him setting in a rocker by the stove telling stories, but I wanted to go outside and play. Now, I would give anything to hear those stories again.
Grandpa made his own tombstone out of concrete. His, his wife's Nancy Jane Littleton, dtr. Jessie's, son Welptmer's, and infant dtr. of Lular, his second wife. They are all placed at the Ridge Church Cem. in Castor, La. where each one of them are buried. Grandpa always carried his tombstone with him, no matter where he went to live, and kept it under his bed.
Copy of homestead record. Cert. no. 2312, application no. 3811, Bienville Parish, La. 159 acres. 20 Sept. 1902
Copy of partial church minutes from Ridge Church, Bienville Parish, Castor, La. Church Clerk was Louiza "Lular" Myers Henson Womack. Minutes of church show date of Watson's baptismal, also have picture of Wat being baptised.
He was married to LOUIZA ELIZABETH MYERS on 15 Jan 1905 in Red River Parish, La.

LOUIZA ELIZABETH MYERS Lular was born on 9 Feb 1881 in Ashland, Red River Parish, La. She died on 30 Sep 1962 in Shreveport, La..(4) She was buried in the Ridge Cem. at Castor, La..(12)
"Lular"Myers Womack use to nurse every one with pneumonia.
The doctor would always come and get her. She always nursed with a pint of whisky. Back then in the 1920's or so you did
not feed the patient anything at all for nine days. It took nine days for it to break. She gave the patients a couple of spoons of whiskey in water and sugar ever hour or two. The
water was hot. She never lost a patient. In nine days the patient was either better or you had to dig a hole. Lular never left a patient. She sat beside their bed for the full nine days.
Lular use to take dinner food left over and put it in syrup buckets and lower it down into the well so it would stay cool and not spoil so it could be eaten for supper. Mary Lou
use to do the same thing after she married Roy.
As told by dtr. Mary Lou Womack Stevenson Adams.
Lula married Edward "Pop" Waller, late in life. I remember them as being very happy, like two love birds all the time. As a small child, I remember them sitting on the couch holding hands. Pow was the only grandfather that I ever knew who lived with Little Grandma. He was a very sweet, and dear man.
"Little Grandma" as we called her, was very short. About 4' 11", and tiny. She was very pretty as a young woman. She always had very long hair, which she kept pulled up into a bun on the back of her head.
