Family of Stephen MAISHMAN (1) & Priscilla SALTER

2. Ann MAISHMAN. Born bef 1775 in Thatcham, Berks.  

Child:
i. Hannah (Illegitimate). Born on 13 Nov 1795 in Thatcham. 

On 11 Jan 1813 when Hannah was 17, she married William LAWES, in Thatcham. Born abt 1795 in Thatcham. William died aft 1813, he was 18. Her mother's sister Priscilla (now married to John Willmott) was a witness at her wedding.


On 3 Sep 1797 when Ann was 22, she second married William FIELD, in Thatcham. Born abt 1775 in Thatcham. 

3. Mary MAISHMAN. Born bef 1777 in Thatcham, Berks.  

She had one child:
i. Henry (Illegitimate). Born in 1817 in Thatcham.  


On 8 Oct 1818 when Mary was 41, she married Henry BAGGS, in Thatcham. Born bef 1800 in Thatcham. 

4. Isaac James MAISHMAN. Born abt 1777 in Thatcham, Berks.  Isaac James died in Starch Greene, Hammersmith on 18 Sep 1854, he was 77.2 Occupation: Bootmaker.

In his early days he was a Gentleman's servant. 3 Later he became a bootmaker.

On 7 Jul 1817 when Isaac James was 40, he married Emma FOX, in St.George's, Hanover Sq .5 Born abt 1800 in Deal, Kent. Emma died in Uxbridge in 1883, she was 83. She was only 17 when she married Isaac.
Their first home was in Queen St, Hammersmith, but around 1823 they moved to Starch Green. 4

When he died of Asiatic Cholera in 1854, she went to live with her son Frederick William Richard at 17 Dorvilles Row, Hammersmith 4/38

They had the following children:
i. Emma. Born in 1820 in Hammersmith. Emma died in Fulham in 1883, she was 63. Occupation: Dressmaker.

She lived with her brother Frederick William Richard, keeping house for him. 4/38

vi. Annie Julia (Jane). Born abt 1835 in Hammersmith. Annie Julia (Jane) died aft 1864.

known as Annie or Anne on census returns4 and referred to as Aunt Annie by Jenny 3

On 28 Jul 1864 when Annie Julia (Jane) was 29, she married George HUNT, son of John HUNT (abt 1820-aft 1864), in Kensington. Born abt 1842. Occupation: Boot Maker.
living at 6 Queens Road Kensington in 1864

vii. Mary. Born abt 1836. 

The only reference to her is in Jennie's letter 3
There is no record of her birth in the General Register nor is she listed in the 1851 census. Perhaps she died in infancy.

10 viii. Henry John Alexander Fox (1839-1874)
ix. Cecilia Susannah. Born in 1843 in Kensington. Cecilia Susannah died in Kensington in 1862, she was 19.

x. Albert William. Born on 14 Apr 1844 in Kensington. Albert William died in Kensington in 1865, he was 20.


5. Stephen MAISHMAN. Born bef 1778 in Thatcham, Berks.  Stephen died aft 1830.

bef 1807 when Stephen was 29, he married Mary. Born abt 1780. Mary died aft 1829.

They had the following children:
i. Mary. Born in 1807 in Deptford.  Mary died bef 1820, she was 13.

ii. Stephen. Born in 1808 in Deptford. 

iii. William Henry. Born in 1811 in Deptford. 

iv. Mary Ann. Born in 1820 in Deptford. 

did she get married in Bath in 1880 at age 60?

v. John. Born in 1823 in Deptford. 

vi. Henry Charles. Born in 1829 in Deptford.
