Immaculate Conception Church -- Golden Jubilee

Immaculate Conception Church
Holyoke, MA — Golden Jubilee

Forward

"Perhaps it could be a consolation to remind oneself of these things." - Virgil

After fifty years, memory begins to fade. That is why the Golden Jubilee Committee of the Immaculate Conception parish has decided to do the necessary research and to compile in one volume the accounts, scattered here and there, which tell the story of the founding and development of the parish.

This account will recall to the elders the sweet memory of an indefatigable cooperation between the clergy and the faithful. For the young it will be an encouragement to glorify by imitation, the work their fathers have carried out so successfully.

May the Immaculate Virgin of La Salette preside over the festival of this true Jubilee in according us an abundance of divine life and in offering to the All Mighty the homage of all the parishioners.

Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin
September 8, 1955

Rev. Fr. Arthur A. Brodeur, M.S., Pastor
