In the Name of God Amen
I Phillip Morgan of Langattog Lingoed in the County of Monmoouth thou[gh] being Weake in body but of perfect mind and memory I thank God therefore beleiving the certainty of Deathe but the uncertainty of the houre thereof willing that what wordly Goods and Effects God hath left unto mee may after my demise come to the benefitt and preferment of my two sons Charles and Thomas I doe make and ordain this my last Will and Testam[en]t in manner and forme following That is to say First and principally I comend my Soule to God my Maker trusting through the merritts Deathe and Passion of his sonne Jesus Christ my Redeemer to obtaine everlasting lyfe My Body to - - - First I give and bequeath to the three Children of John William my childrens nurse husband the some of twenty shillings to be devided amongst them three and I give and bequeath unto my sonne Thomas Morgan the sum[m]e of fifteen pounds And the Residue of all my Goods and Chattles my Debts & funerall expenses being discharged I give and bequeath to be equally devided amongst my twoe sonns Charles and Thomas and I doe hereby make and appoint my loving freinde Henry Delahay my Executor in whom I doe trust to p[er]form this my last Will and Testament And I doe hereby revoke all former Wills witnes my hand and Seale three and twentieth Day of January one thousand six hundred fifty and three
And further I doe hereby appoint and desire my trustie and wellbeloved freinds John Powell and Thomas Powell Overseers of this my last will and testament ... in the presence of John Parry John Powell W[illia]m Lewis his mark Jam[es] Prawling his mark.
